Julia Croft is an Auckland based live artist and theatre maker. Julia has created the solo works If there’s not dancing at the revolution, I’m not coming and Power Ballad, both of which have toured throughout New Zealand, Australia, the UK and Asia. She has also created works in collaboration including Body Double, The Plastic Orgasm and This was supposed to be the future. Julia creates performance work using feminist theory and politics to investigate gender, power, representation and the body. Julia’s theatre work is a hybrid of dance, theatre and performance art and her work has been presented in theatres and galleries both in New Zealand and overseas.
